A one-day paediatric TIVA meeting, TIVA for Tots, on Thursday 16th November in parallel to the ASM.

RCoA - revalidation for anaesthetists

The ASM with Workshops, and TIVA for Tots, are both approved for 5 CPD credits per day by The Royal College of Anaesthetists.

Scientific Programme:

Main programme topics include: Titrating intraoperative analgesia - Professor Anil Hormis. Ditching Desflurane: trainee perspective - Dr Tim Jackson. Online propofol concentration monitoring - Dr Martin Braaben. TIVA use in Obstetrics - Dr Yavor Metodiev. ICU Sedation - Chaired by Professor Tara Quasim MBE.

Then and Now: What have we achieved so far? - Dr Alastair Nimmo. What do we still need? - Professor Thomas Schnider.

TIVA for Tots is from 9am - 5pm on Thursday.

The main meeting starts at 1.25pm on Thursday, preceded by registration and lunch from noon, and ends at 3.30pm on Friday. Thursday morning workshops are from 10.30-12.30.

Call for Abstracts

Abstract submission deadline: 1st October 2023

We will again accept abstracts for this meeting. The trainee winner of the poster competition will receive The Lawrence Rowe Memorial cash prize.

  • The Radisson Blu Hotel, 301 Argyle Street, Glasgow G2 8DL is in the City Centre near the river - 10 minutes walk from Queen Street Station and right next to Central Station. The bus from the airport stops 0.2 miles away on Bothwell Street and departs along Waterloo Street which is even nearer!
