Workshops

Workshops - held in the Civic Centre

Workshops will be held on Thursday morning, led by a number of anaesthetists experienced in the field of intravenous anaesthesia. These will be from 10.30am until 12.30, preceded by coffee. The start time has been chosen to allow travel to Newcastle from afar that morning. Delegates can also book Wednesday night accommodation in the Copthorne Hotel via the Society, if required.

CPD matrix codes (1A02 etc) issued by the Royal College of Anaesthetists are as shown

  • Workshops are complimentary, and available to the first 100 registrants (20 places per workshop).
  • If a delegate has cancelled a place may be available, even if no places are left.
  • One-day registration, with workshop, is available.

Aimed at those preparing for the FRCA - but suitable for others with no experience of TIVA.

Aimed at those using TIVA on a regular basis. Content will include a discussion about pump settings & model selection for propofol and remifentanil/other opioids for TCI, and anaesthesia for bariatric surgery.
